During National Tourism Week, May 5th through 10th, the Road to Tara Museum will offer discounted admission to the museum of 75-cents per person. The Gone With The Wind Tour, a historic mini-bus tour that departs from the museum Monday through Saturday, will also be discounted to $7.50 per person. The Gone With The Wind Tour will be offered at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Advance reservations are required for the Gone With The Wind Tour during this promotional week and these prices are only available during this week of celebration.
"This is a great opportunity for those who have visited before and for those who haven't, to visit and see what the museum is featuring and has added over the last year. This is a big anniversary for the film and we'd love for fans of the movie to come out and celebrate with us," says Danielle Conroy, Director of Marketing and Communications at the Clayton County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The Gone With The Wind Tour, a mini-bus tour encompassing the city of Jonesboro, plays a nostalgic audio narrative. It highlights the role Jonesboro played in the Civil War and its unique ties to Margaret Mitchell's world-renowned novel.
